Welcome to my Fractal Tree Growing page. Grow an almost infinite number of unique and beautiful fractal trees.

Design your tree by changing the rules that define how the tree grows. Choose how the leaves grow and fall, have a short stumpy tree or one that fills the screen with scraggle. The possible combinations are endless.

Tip! You can pause the growth of your tree at anytime, update its DNA settings and then resume growth with the new parameters.

Maximum number of branches

The total number of branches this tree can grow. On slower computers you may have to reduce this or if you have a fast computer watch your screen fill with tree branches on higher settings.

Branch Angle 1 - Right hand

The angle of a new branch to the right from the parent branch. A higher value causes the branches to spread out more.

Branch at a random angle, this grows a more natural and varied looking tree.

Branch Thickness

This determines how thick your tree branches will grow over time. All branches start as a twig and with these settings can grow into a solid branch.

Continuous Growth

By default a branch will stop growing longer when it has spawned two child branches. This settings allows the branches to carry on growing throughout the whole life of the tree.

Tip - if your tree gets too big try reducing the to slow it down.

Growth Rate

This controls how fast your tree branches grow, a low value and it will grow into a short stubby bush, a high value and it will soar towards the sky and off the screen.
